You Said, We Did!

Thank you to all of our learners who have taken the time to fill in our online surveys and provide feedback so far this year!

You might be wondering what we actually do with this feedback. It’s simple – we listen, and we use it to make the learning experience better for you and all future learners.

Thanks to you, we have been able to make the following improvements this year:

Quality update

YOU SAID that you would like to see better alignment of assessment instructions, marking rubrics and content, so

WE have already updated instructions and are continuously working with Subject Matter Experts to make instructions clearer and to ensure all aspects of your studies align.

Development update

YOU SAID that you found it difficult to review your work and feedback after completing some of the assessment quizzes in our courses, so

WE are now using a different quiz tool that allows you to review your answers and feedback once you completed it.

IT update

YOU SAID that you would like earlier access to your courses, so

WE are now offering access to the courses to learners one week prior to their start date to familiarise themselves with the portal and the navigation.

LEST update

YOU SAID that you wanted more interaction with eCampus NZ, so

WE created a greater sense of presence by

  • providing introductory videos by Facilitators about courses
  • providing introductory sessions using Zoom for new learners (in some programmes)
  • providing other opportunities to connect synchronously e.g. virtual lunch with Facilitator.
  • introducing emails that go to learners from three weeks prior to their start date to welcome everyone and better prepare them for study.

Important information for new learners

eCampus NZ as a business unit of Open Polytechnic, is now part of Te Pūkenga – New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology.

From 1 January 2023, eCampus NZ will no longer enrol new learners into study plans delivered on the eCampus NZ learning platform.

However, all courses/programmes will still be available for online study through Open Polytechnic - Te Pūkenga.

The eCampus NZ team is here for you. If you are still experiencing ongoing issues related to Cyclone Gabrielle, please contact your advisor or facilitator so we can work with you to get you back on track.
