How long will it take?
This course is delivered over 14 weeks. NZQA guidelines suggest up to 200 hours of total study time for a 20 credit course. So to complete this course successfully in the 14 weeks you must be prepared to devote approximately 14 hours per week to your study. Depending on your previous academic online experience and course level this may vary to a certain degree.

Course Requirement
If you wish to study the New Zealand Certificate in Adult and Tertiary Teaching (Level 5) you will need to have access to a group of at least 6 adult learners in order to complete your course activities and required assessments. For this course, you will be required to deliver four sessions to a group of adult learners throughout the course. Three of these are course activities which are 15 minutes long, and one is a graded assessment which requires you to teach a group of at least six students over a 30-minute time frame. If you do not have access to a group of adult students, you will be unable to successfully complete the course.
You must be working with learners in a post‐secondary environment and must meet the requirements of the Vulnerable Children Act 2014.
