Student story – studying for my family

With three kids already and another on the way, Tane Edwards, felt stuck.

He knew it was time to improve his family’s lifestyle and make a change. The best way he knew how was through education. So Tane decided to study business part time through eCampus NZ.

“Im hoping to be able to start my own business and have the knowledge and strategies I need to succeed. The NZ Diploma in Business has expanded my view on different topics and has helped me to think and reflect on certain areas in my own life,” says Tane.

Finding time to study around family life means Tane chooses to study in his lunch break, at weekends and once the kids are in bed for the night.

The flexible nature of online study through eCampus NZ has enabled Tane to study at his own pace and make the life change he wanted.

“I would definitely recommend studying with eCampus NZ. The things I have learned are shaping my thinking for the better. Not only will I be more efficient and effective in the work place but the skills you learn can be applied to your personal life as well,” says Tane.

It’s not just course and timetable flexibility that helps Tane to achieve his study goals, so too does the support he gets from the course facilitators and advisors.

“They have been great, if I don’t understand a question or I am stuck with something, the advisors have always sent me in the right direction. My facilitator has been very helpful, I can message her and she will get back to me with exactly what I need,” says Tane.

If you want a change in career direction or to up-skill, eCampus NZ has part time and full time online study options to suit any stage of life.
