How will I learn?
You can fit your study around your work, family and lifestyle – there is no need to be a full-time student while studying with eCampus NZ. You can work and learn. All study is completely online – with supportive facilitators and advisors to help you along the way.
How long will it take?
This qualification is made up of four courses. Each course is delivered over 10 weeks. To complete one of the courses successfully in the 10 weeks you must be prepared to devote approximately 15 hours per week to your study. Depending on your previous academic online experience and course level this may vary to a certain degree. If you want to study as a full-time student you can enrol on more than one course at a time, which will increase the amount of study required per week.
Career and study pathways
As a first stepping stone into the world of project management, this qualification will place graduates in a good position for a junior project manager or project assistant role. For work-place learners who are interested in developing their project management skills within their chosen industry – this qualification will provide you with the tools to succeed. Once you graduate you could explore the New Zealand Diploma in Business for a greater understanding of leadership and business functions or enrol in a more advanced project management course/qualification.
Entry requirements
Academic requirements:
- 40 credits NCEA Level 1, including 10 literacy credits and 10 numeracy credits
Alternative requirements:
- Skills for tertiary study (including literacy and numeracy) may be acquired through study, work and/or life experience. Students who can demonstrate these skills may be approved for alternative entry.
English requirements:
- If English is not your first language you may also be required to provide evidence of your English language skills as listed below. If you have no evidence of your English language skills and are a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident, contact us for an assessment.
- IELTS 5.5 Academic (no lower than 5.0 in any subtest). For acceptable alternatives refer to the English Proficiency Outcomes Chart.
Note: Students who have achieved NCEA Level 3 University Entrance requirements are not required to provide evidence of English Language Skills.
