Micro Credentials and Badging

Micro-credentials and badging

The future of workplace learning.

Do you want to help your workforce upskill, adapt to rapidly changing technology, or gain specialist skills, quickly and at low cost, without disrupting business flow?

Micro-credentials are small, stand-alone awards that recognise the achievement of specific skills, experience, or knowledge gained through short, targeted training.

We can work with you to design, develop and deliver training solutions that lift the productivity of your people and meet your needs for in-demand workplace and industry skills.

Micro-learning and micro-credentials on Learning Engine

Learning Engine is eCampus NZ’s micro-learning platform. On Learning Engine, you can deliver, track, assess and reward work-based learning opportunities that meet your specific training needs.

You can work with our expert eLearning designers to develop course content and assessments, with wholly online or online + face-to-face options available.

Learners can self-enrol on the platform and complete engaging, micro-learning courses and assessments using a landing page designed to align with your branding.

✓ Your brand
✓ Your vision
✓ Your training needs met.

Learning Engine is fully responsive so learning can be delivered on any device.

Additional platform features:

  • Option to reward your team with digital badges
  • A Learner Dashboard, where users can track their progress
  • A Record of Learning, where users can see a list of current and completed courses
  • The ability for employers to generate invitations for specific courses
  • Sophisticated reporting and analytics

Digital Badges

A digital badge is a visual, online certification of skill(s) learned, certified by an industry group, employer, and/or approved by NZQA. You can reward your team with a digital badge for successfully completing internal professional development or achieving micro-credentials delivered on Learning Engine with eCampus NZ.

At eCampus NZ, we take badging one step further with open badging. Open badges allow skills and achievements to be certified in real-time online, through credible organisations. Open badges contain metadata which is hard-coded into the actual badge image file, identifying and validating the accredited skill and issuer. Open badges can be easily displayed in a personal online profile (e.g a LinkedIn profile) allowing learners to share their achievements.

eCampus NZ uses the Credly Acclaim Badging platform which complies with Open Badge standards.
