What is eCampus NZ?
eCampus NZ is a collaboration by New Zealand’s major tertiary providers to provide quality education to Kiwis no matter where they live.
How do online courses work?
eCampus NZ courses are delivered by expert course facilitators. The study required can take many different forms, including readings, contributing to forums, completing activities and completing and submitting assessments. You can communicate with your course facilitator and classmates through online discussion areas.
Our online courses can be accessed online at any time of day or night. This means that you have the freedom to make your programme work around your work and family commitments.
Is the qualification recognised?
Yes! The qualifications are industry recognised, NZQA accredited and internationally accepted. As the qualification that you complete through eCampus NZ will be awarded by your enrolling institution, your qualification will be of equal merit to a qualification completed on-campus.
Can I study full time or part time?
Part-time study, which involves completing one course at a time, works best for most learners. This requires a time commitment of about 15 hours each week.
If you choose to study full-time, you will work on two courses at the same time. This will increase the time commitment to 30 hours of study each week.
How will I be supported?
eCampus NZ provides a supportive learning environment. You have access to your own student advisor, a dedicated course facilitator, resources on the eCampus NZ portal, the Smarthinking tutoring service, and support services provided by your enrolling institution.
You’ll find detailed information about the many support services available to you on our Student Support page.
When do courses start?
One of the major benefits of completing study with eCampus NZ is that we have courses available to start at regular intervals throughout the year.
Our courses do have set start dates and end dates, so make sure that you choose a start date that suits your commitments and lifestyle.
Can I get student loan support?
If you are studying towards an NZQA certificate or diplomas with eCampus NZ, you are eligible for student loan support on the condition that you meet certain criteria set by StudyLink. Visit the StudyLink website to find out more.
Can I study fees-free?
From 1 January 2018, tertiary education has been fees-free for eligible first-time tertiary students on programmes level 3 and above.
This exciting opportunity is not just offered to new school leavers. The ability to study fees-free is open to anyone of any age, provided they meet the eligibility criteria.
Visit the Fees Free website to learn if you are eligible.
