Financial Health for Small Business are two new microlearning courses created by eCampus NZ. As part of a select group, you have been exclusively invited to register for one or both courses, at no cost. Spaces are limited so be sure to register by Sunday 1 September.
Is Financial Health for Small Business for you?
The microlearning courses will help you master the two most important financial statements; Profit & Loss Statements and Balance Sheet Reports.
As a small business owner, this is vital to achieving your business goals. Whether you want to grow, safeguard your business against market fluctuations, enter new markets, or develop new products, your financial statements will give you the real numbers to base your decisions on.
What will I learn?
Course 1: Understanding your bottom line
Understanding your profit and loss statement will help you stay on top of the financial performance of your business. In this course, you will learn how to:
- Make informed decisions about your spending
- Understand how your business is performing
- Predict the success, potential failure and progress of your business.
- Make better business decisions to improve your bottom line profitability
Course 2: Understanding your business sustainability
Your balance sheet is a snapshot of your business financial position at a given point in time. In this course, you’ll learn how to:
- Track how specific areas of your business are performing.
- Analyse what you own (assets), what you owe (liabilities) and what you have left over (equity)
- Understand your business liquidity
- Make better business decisions to improve your business sustainability
What are microlearning courses?
Microlearning courses are short, online courses you can complete in a few hours at your own pace, in your own time. Your learning will also include real world business activities featuring xero software, an emerging global leader in online accounting software for small business.
Do I get any recognition?
Learners who successfully complete the microlearning courses are able to use the eCampus NZ badges. Learn more.
Important dates
Registration closes Sunday 1 September, so be quick as spaces are limited. Once you have registered, the microlearning courses will be available for you from Monday, 2 September through Friday, 11 October.
