Businesses need their people and teams to be high performing. Great HR people can identify and deliver on that outcome ensuring you maximise individual potential and deal with poor performance as required. You will gain an understanding of the tools and techniques to maximise people performance.
How will I learn?
You can fit your study around your work, family and lifestyle – there is no need to be a full-time student while studying with eCampus NZ. You can work and learn. All study is completely online – with supportive facilitators and advisors to help you along the way.
How long will it take?
All our qualifications have flexible start dates with courses available to start at regular times throughout the year. This qualification is made up of eight courses. Each course is delivered over 9 weeks. NZQA guidelines suggest up to 150 hours of total study time for a 15 credit course. So to complete one of the courses successfully in the 9 weeks you must be prepared to devote approximately 16.5 hours per week to your study. Depending on your previous academic online experience and course level this may vary to a certain degree. If you want to study as a full-time student you can enrol on more than one course at a time, which will increase the amount of study required per week. Career and study pathways
On completion of this qualification you will have the skills and knowledge to take on entry level HR roles or a supervisory or first line management role.

Entry requirements
Academic Requirements
50 credits NZCE Level 2 or above which must include:
- 12 credits at Level 2 in each of three subjects and
- 8 Literacy credits at Level 2 or above in English or Te Reo (4 credits must be in reading and 4 credits in writing) and
- 14 Numeracy credits at Level 1 or above in Mathematics or Pangarau.

Equivalent relevant business experience
English Requirements:
If English is not your first language you may also be required to provide evidence of your English language skills as listed below. If you have no evidence of your English language skills and are a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident, contact us for an assessment.
- IELTS 6.0 Academic (no lower than 5.5 in any subtest).
Note: IELTS scores used must be taken from a single IELTS Test Report Form and are valid for two years from the date of the test. Students who have achieved NCEA Level 3 University Entrance requirements are not required to provide evidence of English language skills.

All qualifications will be awarded by one of these providers. Courses completed through eCampus NZ are industry recognised and accepted by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA). Graduates may attend the graduation ceremony of the relevant tertiary partner and will receive a parchment from the institute at which they enrolled.
