Short courses in partnership with ed2go
eCampus NZ has partnered with ed2go, which is a part of Cengage Learning, to deliver a range of short courses for learners looking to upskill, extend their knowledge in a particular subject or pursue a new passion. ed2go works with more than 2,100 academic institutions across the globe and has delivered online learning to over three million students.
Learners who enrol in these short courses will need to agree with Cengage Learning’s Terms of Use which can be found at https://www.cengagegroup.com/legal/
How will I learn?
These courses have been developed by American education provider ed2go and are facilitated by their team of qualified instructors. Each course consists of 12 lessons, which includes live instructor support, interactive quizzes, assignments, tutorials and online discussion areas. The courses can be accessed over the internet at any time of day or night. Most courses run for six weeks and will require approximately 24 hours of study time to complete. This is a time commitment of four hours of study time each week.
When can I start?
These short courses have monthly start dates throughout the year and the enrolment process is simple – just click on a course in the Course Catalogue, choose the start date that suits you and select ‘Add to Cart’. You’ll also find a detailed breakdown of the course content and information about software requirements.
As the courses are based in the US, the course start date is one day later than indicated on the website. For example, a session starting on April 12 will begin on April 13 in New Zealand.
Will I get a qualification?
Unlike our certificate and diploma courses, ed2go courses are not NZQA accredited and do not lead to a recognised qualification. However, you will be sent a Certificate of Completion once you have successfully passed the course; a great addition to any resume or portfolio.
Please note that these courses do not count towards Student Loan/Student Allowance EFTS or Fees-Free study, and payment is made in full when you enrol. For more information be sure to check out our FAQ page and ed2go’s FAQ page.
